Chris and Darlene call the rural landscape of Salt Spring Island home and they have made it their job to match people with island homes and estates. Their market is varied, made up of people who currently live on the island and wish to choose a new locale to people who are moving to the island for the first time, either to enjoy their retirement or simply a love of and interest in the Southern Gulf Islands.

History in Real Estate

With previous affliations with Century 21 working under the "Fine Homes and Estates" program and Royal LePage's "Carriage Trade", the Hobbs have proven the highest standards of market knowledge and expertise required to navigate the luxury home market.  Their client list includes many Canadian celebrities, financial officers, medical practitioners, business executives and most recently (organic) sheep farmers.

Just as it is in real estate, timing is everything

The route which led to real estate, however, was not as straightforward as their sales achievements.  Married since 1988, they spent their early years together in the Toronto area, where they owned and operated a Honda Dealership.  But the retail industry was not the only venue to try their hand.  Chris also ignited his entrepreneurial talent in the sales distribution arena, travelling throughout much of  Ontario and Quebec.  Darlene created and contracted her talents in the direct mail/advertising industry developing marketing campaigns and corporate identities.

Their success reflects a great deal of hard work, extensive people skills, as well as a desire to provide incomparable service that today's consumers have come to expect.
